At Giggles Nursery, we understand that happy, confident, and well-cared-for children are more likely to progress and fulfill the foundation stage of their development.

Our mission is to provide our children with the best education and care. We ensure that our nursery adheres to the highest standards of education to help our students reach their fullest potential. We aim to provide a nurturing and enriching environment that prepares our students for their next educational steps.

Giggles Nursery offers:

A warm and friendly atmosphere facilitated by EYFS-qualified and trained childcare providers.
Safe, enabling, and stimulating EYFS Classrooms incorporating all the learning areas.
Learning through play and exploration-guided activities.
A variety of age-appropriate activities and educational and stimulating toys and resources that support our children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

At Giggles, our parents will have:

Daily reports and weekly pictures and videos through the iCare application.
Increased knowledge of their child's development and individual needs through our termly developmental assessments.
Greater insight into their child's health and nutritional requirements through continuous checks and observations by our on-site nutritionist and nurse, along with a monthly visit from our doctor.

Our Facilities

In line with our vision to provide our children with an enabling environment, we ensure that all our classrooms and common areas meet and adhere to the highest standards of education and care. We consider the safeguarding and well-being of students our main priority, therefore, our classes, equipment, and facilities are regularly monitored against safety hazards and any damages. We have a camera system that covers all the areas of the nursery, and we also run regular fire drills to train students and staff on how to act in case of an emergency.

Communication

At Giggles Nursery, parents are welcome to visit the premises any time during the day. If consultation with a teacher is needed, a meeting can be arranged for the teacher to provide parents with undivided attention.
Parents can expect ongoing communication with staff concerning their child’s progress and their program activities through the iCare application that we are currently using. Parents will receive daily reports, weekly pictures, and can message the teacher through the app for any further information.
Giggles Nursery also has a Facebook and an Instagram account where parents can follow the nursery activities daily.

Safety & Hygiene

The safety of our children is our number one priority therefore we have implemented the following safety measures:

We follow a strict release policy and only authorized people mentioned in the registration form are allowed to pick up the child.
We have a full-time guard that is at the gate at all times.
We have dedicated people that are on board every day to maintain the hygiene of our classes and equipment.
We run regular fire drills to train our kids and staff on how to act in case of a fire emergency.
We have a camera system that covers all the areas of the nursery.
Regular parent-teacher communication to keep parents informed about their child.
In the event of an accident, parents are notified immediately and an accident form is filled and kept in the child’s file.
Parents are also responsible to provide in writing any information about special dietary requirements or allergies their child has.
Giggles Nursery will provide only minimal preparation for the child’s meal, which includes heating and/or refrigerating.
We recommend that your child’s meals be nutritionally balanced; all grapes are cut in half and no nuts or soft drinks. Our nutritionists are available to answer any of your concerns.

Nutrition

Parents are responsible to provide all meals and snacks for their children daily. Parents are also responsible to provide in writing any special dietary needs or instructions for their child before the child’s first day. Giggles Nursery will provide only minimal preparation for the child’s meal, which includes heating and/or refrigerating.
For Meals timing, please refer to your child’s timetable. Giggles Nursery recommends that all meals are nutritionally balanced and contain one representative of each of the four (4) major food groups (Fruits, Vegetables, Grains and Proteins). If you require any nutritional assistance, we will be more than happy to provide you with guidance. We do not throw away any leftover meal items for parents to see how much the child consumed during the day.
Giggles Nursery is a nut-free zone. Any kind of food that contains nuts of any kind is not allowed and will be returned to the parents.
Junk foods such as fizzy drinks, chocolates and sweets, sugary treats or chips are also not allowed in the Nursery.

Health & Medication

At Giggles Nursery we provide a full-time qualified nurse that checks the kids regularly. Children are routinely checked upon arrival and in case of any health concern, the parent will be informed immediately.

Giggles Nursery follows a strict Sick Policy.
The health care practitioner can administer medicine, if it is provided in the original container, properly labelled with the child’s name, and if the parents have signed the authorization form.
If a child becomes sick at the nursery, the parents will be contacted immediately. If parents are unable to be reached, the person authorized to pick up in the case of an emergency will be called and asked to pick up the child. The staff will isolate the child from the other children and make him/her as comfortable as possible.
In line with our aim to provide a healthy and safe environment for the children and the staﬀ, Giggles Nursery will not accept sick children.
Giggles Nursery is nut-free nursery. To reduce the risk of any child, who may have or develop an allergy to nuts coming into contact with a food product, we do not allow nuts in the Nursery environment.

Sickness and Exclusion

The qualified nurse at Giggles Nursery will ensure the highest medical standards are met, thus the nurse’s policies must be adhered to. The nurse at Giggles Nursery will make the final decision concerning any child’s welfare.
If a child is discovered to have lice, he/she will need to be picked up as soon as possible to avoid any unwanted spreading. The child will need a doctor’s note to assure us that he/she is clear of this condition. Upon their return, the nurse on duty at the nursery will check to confirm this and only then the child will be allowed to resume to their class.
Parents are required to inform us of any update in each child’s immunization record in case an outbreak should occur.

Release of Children

A child will be released only to the parent or his/her legal guardian unless otherwise indicated in the registration form. The child cannot be released to minors or siblings aged 16 years old and below. Giggles Nursery will only release the child to persons pre-approved by the parents/guardians. If any changes occur, the staff must be notified in writing of any alternate arrangements. An identification Card of the collector will be required if that person is not known to the Nursery staff.

Once the child has been picked up from the premises, Giggles Nursery is no longer responsible for any incident or accident that may occur.
Parents are responsible to drop their children off at the reception, and to pick them up from the reception.
Our staffs are not responsible to carry the children from or to the parents’ car under any circumstances.
